Sick Policy

*Effective immediately and in full effect until unanimous approval from all of the following three entities and governing bodies: Appalachian State University;  the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (NC Department of Health and Human Services)*

This policy supersedes the current health and illness in the program’s current handbook.  Due to the emergency declaration by the Governor,  the policy below will be implemented and enforced until NC DHHS gives updated guidance.  Families are expected to strictly adhere to this policy.  Families who do not follow policy will be given a written warning.  If a second instance occurs, the program will end our association and the child’s enrollment in the program will be terminated.
